**Low price point is due to moderate hock arthritis - he doesn't seem to have any idea but his hocks will one day fuse**
Ike is a stunning gelding by Conthargos [OLD] and out of an Emerald van't Ruytershof mare. He was imported in late summer 2025 as an unbroken 3y/o. We backed him in the late fall and then got him going under saddle during winter season in Ocala (we go Jan-Mar). He is extremely easy going, more of a leg ride, and can handle a lot of pressure without getting reactive. He could handle a rider with an 'electric' seat and would make a great lifetime ammy mount but will need a knowledgeable rider or someone in a program while he gains mileage just simply because he's young and green. He has great natural balance and is working on general fitness and a more sensitive forward aid. Has loose jumped to 1.20m and ~2'3 under saddle. Has schooled xc. Brave to new fences, incl. water, ditches, and banks, but not aggressive and takes leg. Hacks out alone and in company. Will start going to training shows this summer and will dabble in hunters, jumpers, and eventing.
Ike loves attention in the barn, is barefoot, and goes out with a small herd of geldings. Great for clipping, bathing, pulling, farrier, etc. Just a very easy horse to have around in all aspects.
He is UTD on all veterinary, farrier, and dental care. Radiographs are available to vets of serious buyers.
