This young lady has been an absolute joy for me to bring along. At 7 years, CJ has tons of talent and potential, and at every show, she gets better and better. She came to me as a 3 yo jumper prospect. Her sire, Contefino, a Holsteiner, is 38th leading jumper sire for USEF for 2026. Her mother was a Baloubet du Rouet mare: enough said. We started showing her at age 4 in the 0.85 jumpers, and then at the end of the next year, jumping 0.95, my trainer finally broke the news that she is a hunter. (I was suspicious.) So last year and this year, she has been doing the best she can with me in the AO's. I have a non-equine full time job, and I have been a jumper rider for multiple decades, so she always has a mistake that knocks her down in the ribbons. She always does well in the under saddle classes. She is perfectly fine going into the ring without schooling. No lunging needed at the shows, just 20 minutes of flatwork. Easy keeper; she lives at my little farm in east/central VA. Very sweet personality. Loves trails. Loves to gallop in fields (if you can get her to stop grazing:)
