Major Star is a straightforward, amateur-friendly jumper with the presence to cross into the jumper equitation ring and the talent to successfully compete over big tracks. He has a great lead change in both directions and a big step that easily gets down the lines. He is brave, honest, doesn’t require any prep, and is handy. It is recommended that Major Star continue under professional guidance due to his age and talent.
Major Star competed in the 5 Year Old Young Horse division in 2022 (1.10m-1.15m), the 6 Year Old Young Horse division in 2023 (1.20m-1.30m), and had multiple wins and top placings in the 7 Year Old Young Horse division at HITS Ocala 2024. He is schooling 1.40m+ at home.
Major Star hacks out alone and with company, clips without tranq, has nice ground manners and a kind demeanour.
Major has been ridden by juniors and older amateurs; he goes to the other side of the fence without holding a grudge if the distance isn’t perfect. Major’s lovable puppy-dog personality makes him a barn favourite.
