Clifford is a one of the most comfortable horses you will ever ride! He has slow, smooth, ground covering gaits and he is suitable for any level of rider. He LOVES adventures outside of the arena -- fox hunting, trail riding, beach riding, etc. He can hack out alone or in company and is happy to hunt in any flight. He is brave and has a very smooth jump, with great form -- he truly loves to jump! He is very quiet and does not require any prep for hunting or showing. You can give him weeks, probably months, off and he will come out the same horse.
Clifford has competed very successfully on the hunter/jumper circuit, with top finishes in multiple derbies, including winning the South Carolina Hunter Derby Finals in 2021. Despite this success and him being AMAZING in the derbies, he doesn't have the best work ethic in the arena on a daily basis. He thrives in a program where his life can be more adventurous and he can be exercised mostly outside of the ring (trails and fields), with intermittent ring work mixed in.
He is very sound and currently receives no maintenance. Finding him a loving forever home is incredibly important to us.
