Registered Welsh Cob x Arab 5-year-old gelding, measuring 14.2hh. Registered under the name Rainbows End Fly Me To The Moon with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society of Canada, -[CAN]R2485-. Excellent trainability, learns fast and is very sweet. Aims to please and loves to be rewarded for his work. Consistent temperament after each ride or after 2+ weeks off, no need to lunge beforehand. Has a quiet temperament, would rate him 2 out of 10 on the temperament scale. Started as a 3-year-old doing ground and cavaletti work. Started under saddle at 4 doing walk, trot, canter, and riding out. Has been to schooling shows as a 4-year-old doing flat classes, and took it well. Started over fences at 5, currently schooling 2’ - 2’3” verticals and x rails with scope to advance. Forward to the fences, never stopped at a fence. Has a basic understanding of flying changes, he will do them instinctively but has not made the connection yet for the aid. Has done basic lateral work such as shoulder in, haunches out, leg yielding, and walk pirouette. Excellent for riding out alone, and with other horses. Forward on the leg and enjoys going out for a gallop but is respectful when asked to whoa or slow down. Has been exposed to wildlife such as deer, elk, and coyotes. Moonie will follow coyotes at a gallop if asked by the rider. The only wildlife he doesn’t enjoy is small birds and cats hiding in the tall grass. Been exposed to semi trucks and large hay farm equipment. Has been in with mares and geldings. Middle of the order in a herd. Lives out 24/7. Stands for farrier, bathing, clipping, worming and can leave him tied up with no fuss. Trailers good. Never had shoes on, always gone barefoot. No buck, bolt or rearing. UTD on worming and vaccinations. No injuries, always been sound.

The only “flaw” is Moonie cribs when he eats. Bought him with this habit as a 2.5-year-old. The cribbing is controlled when he wears a properly fitted collar, even when Moonie is in a wood board pasture he will not crib.
