PRICING, AD DURATION & RENEWALS
Q. How much does it cost to list my horse?
A. It is $45 per ad. Ads run for six months. Only one horse may be listed per ad.
Q. How long will my ad run for?
A. Your ad will run for six months from when we receive payment and your ad is posted live.
Q. Can I renew my ad?
A. Yes. At any point during your ad's run, you may renew your ad. This will bump your listing to the top of all search results again. It costs $45 to renew. To renew, please login to your account, go to the "My Ads" page. Once there, choose the ad you would like to renew and click "Add more time/Renew." Follow the payment instructions. Once payment is received, your ad will be automatically bumped to the top of the search pages.
Q. Is there any commission involved with using Bigeq.com?
A.
We are a classifieds service, not a brokerage service. There is no
commission. We require a listing fee to place an ad, and nothing else.
ADDING PHOTOS
Q. What are your photo specifications?
A. You may upload up to three photos per ad. Each photo uploaded must be smaller than 2MB. Files larger than 2MB will not upload, and you will have to shrink the file size. Photos must be in JPG, GIF or TIF format.
Q. I have tried to upload my photo, but for some reason it will not work. What should I do?
A. Occasionally, our users report that for no apparent reason, their photos will not upload. We have not yet been able to determine where the bug lies, but if you email us your photo(s), we will upload them for you.
ADDING VIDEOS
Q. How do I get my video link up?
A. We recommend you create an account with YouTube and upload your video there. Once it is uploaded, go to the YouTube page with your video on it, and find where it says, "Embed." In the text box next to this, copy all the coding.
Sign in to your Bigeq.com account and go to "My Ads." Select "edit ad" for the horse you are adding the video to. Paste the coding into the box below the words "Video Embed Code" and save your ad.
If you are not using YouTube, you can copy and paste a link to where your video is located in the "Video Embed Code" box. It will create a link to your video. The link needs to be a complete URL, with the 'http://" before the "www.etc."

MY ADS & AD MANAGEMENT
Q. What should I select for "Price Display Method"?
A. When
placing an ad, it is required for every horse to have an actual price
in the "Price (USD)" field. Some sellers, however, prefer to keep the
price of the horse private, and so they have the following options in
the Price Display Method box:
1. Show Actual Price - both in search
results and on the ad detail page, your horse's price will be shown
exactly as entered in the price field. If you enter 5000.00, buyers
will see $5000.00 in both search results and on the ad detail page.
2.
Inquire for Price - if you select this option, the price of your horse
will not be shown anywhere on the website. Your horse will, however,
appear in search results in the price range it is listed in. So if a
user searches between $10,000 and $20,000 and your horse is $13,000,
your ad will still appear in the search results, but the price will not
be shown.
3. Price range - you may select the price range that
corresponds to the amount you listed in the price field. The exact
price of your horse will not be shown anywhere on the website. Instead,
the price range you select will be displayed in search results and on
the listing detail page. For example, if you list a horse for $35,000,
you would select 'mid low five figures 20,000-39,999.' Everywhere on
the site, your horse's price would be displayed as "mid low five
figures 20,000-39,999." This allows buyers to know the general range of
how much your horse is listed for, but keeps the exact price private.
AD REMOVAL, SOLD OR LEASED LISTINGS
Q. How do I remove my ad?
A. To delete the ad, sign in to your account and go to 'My Ads.' Click 'delete ad' for the ad(s) you would like removed.
Q. My horse was sold. How can I mark it as sold?
A. You may delete the ad (see above for directions) or mark it as sold. To mark the ad as sold, sign in to your user account and click on "My Ads." Find the ad you would like to mark as sold, and click "edit ad." Find the option that says, "Has this listing been sold?" and select "Yes" from the drop down box. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and select "save." Your ad will still remain online for the duration of its posting period, but when it appears in search results, it will be noted that the ad is sold. If you do not want people contacting you any longer regarding the horse, we recommend you delete it, as all the ad information will remain online until the ad expires.
Q. My horse was leased. How can I mark it as leased?
A. You may

the ad as leased, sign in to your user account and click on "My Ads."
Find the ad you would like to mark as leased, and click "edit ad." Find
the option that says, "Has this listing been leased?" and select "Yes"
from the drop down box. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and select "save." Your ad will still remain online for the
duration of its posting period, but when it appears in search results,
it will be noted that the ad is sold. If you do not want people
contacting you any longer regarding the horse, we recommend you delete
it, as all the ad information will remain online until the ad expires.
MISCELLANEOUS
Q. I am a broker and I run a sale barn, can I list my farm or business as an ad?
A.
No, the ads are designed to for individual horses and ponies. If you
are interested in purchasing a link to your farm's website or bulk
advertising rates for your sales barn, please contact Bigeq.com for
more information.
Q. Can I post stud ads, horses wanted, riders wanted, real estate or other types of ads?
A.
At this time the classifieds are only for horses/ponies for sale or
lease. We do have other forms of advertising on the site. Contact
Bigeq.com if you would like more information.
Q. I want to email a seller. Why can't I copy/paste email addresses off the website?
A. This is a security measure against email spammers. We use an image to show your email address instead of writing it as regular text. Spam robots cannot 'harvest' your email address of the website if it is represented as an image. You will need to type the address into an email, but cannot copy/paste it for this reason.
